To Do and See in New Jersey

Many people think of beaches and cities when it comes to New Jersey — and they wouldn’t be wrong. It’s home to the iconic Jersey Shore and is just minutes away from Manhattan on the east and Philadelphia on the west. But then, why do they call it The Garden State? The state also has more than 9,000 farms within its borders, which collectively produce more than 100 types of produce. Perhaps the favorite of these fruits and veggies? The famous Jersey tomato.

New Jersey surprises many travelers with its beautiful farmlands and cute small towns, but most people flock here to see the famed, 127-mile-long Jersey Shore. It’s truly a must-do for any traveler on assignment here. The water also means sailing, swimming, bays, lighthouses, fishing (and cute fishing villages!), barrier islands, and much more aquatic fun to explore. Other popular New Jersey attractions and destinations include Pinelands National Reserve, Atlantic City Boardwalk, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, the Silver Pinball Museum, Jersey wine country, Liberty State Park, and tons more. Plus, there are 72 miles of Appalachian Trail in The Garden State!

It stands to reason that The Garden State would have great food, and that logic does hold up! Jersey cuisine classics include sub sandwiches, tomato pie, saltwater taffy, pork rolls, Italian hot dogs, and Jersey-style sloppy Joes, which completely deviate from the classic. Plus, New Jersey’s been dubbed the “diner capital of the world” so be sure to belly up to the breakfast bar or indulge in the perfect cheeseburger when you’re there.

What is a Permanent Nurse?

A permanent nurse, also known as a staff nurse, is an RN who works full-time at a healthcare facility instead of taking on various travel nurse jobs. While travel nursing allows you to see new cities and make an impact on patient care in communities all over the nation, staff nurse jobs can give you a little more stability, allowing you to plant down roots to grow in your specialty and advance upward in your career within a single facility.

If you’re interested in permanent placements, working with an agency like Medical Solutions will ensure you make the most out of your career. Apply now and let the best recruiters in the industry help you find your ideal role among hundreds of exclusive perm RN jobs at top U.S. hospitals.
